Jane CorbettJane Corbett's speciality is informal portraits. Armed with her Pentax SF-X, Jane delights in working with families or individuals to capture their spirit on camera. She dislikes studio work and far prefers home or exterior settings for her work, capitalising on available light.

Jane's interest in photography dates back a long time. Having two young girls of her own provided ample opportunity to hone her skills. Her dark-room technique has been learnt over many years studying under Rik Snowley with weekly sessions in her Teddington darkroom, along with fellow photographer, Bea Sunley.

Jane was brought up in Richmond, studied at St Paul's and Exeter before working as a BBC studio manager. In the first of several career changes, Jane began studying law and met her lawyer husband Edward during her training at a London law firm. Together, Jane and Edward spent a year photographing the world, from China to India, South-East Asia to Australasia, before returning home to start their family.

Jane now combines a busy photographic life with a full family life. Many commissions come from friends and contacts and through her church. Every one is a fresh challenge: Jane relishes a photographic challenge.
